A good day.
A different view.
Market towns, wide water and a little wildlife. Seven starting points for a day out in Mid Wales, with enough detail to make a useful plan and enough space to change your mind.
Shape your daysYour base: Seren & Juniper, near Newbridge-on-Wye. These are separate outings; Hay-on-Wye is a wider regional day trip.

Pick one place.
Leave room around it.
You do not have to see the whole region in a weekend. Choose a town, a suitable walk or a wildlife visit, then check the operator’s information before travelling. Transport and tickets are arranged separately.
Our illustrated markers identify types of outing; they are not photographs of the towns or venues. For the accommodation itself, see the actual Seren and Juniper galleries. Each wagon sleeps up to two guests.

A few useful answers.
Where are the wagons in relation to these places?
Seren and Juniper are on a working farm near Newbridge-on-Wye, Powys. The places in this directory are separate regional outings. Hay-on-Wye is a wider day trip. Choose transport and routes using your own starting point and current conditions; these are not promises of walkable access or fixed journey times.
Which options could work on a rainy day?
Check a specific museum in Llandrindod Wells, a performance at Wyeside in Builth Wells or individual shops and cafés in Rhayader or Hay-on-Wye. Opening times and programmes vary. Walking between indoor stops is still outdoors, and not every venue opens every day.
Do the suggestions include tickets or reservations?
No. Each attraction, museum, event or hire arrangement is booked separately with its operator. The activities planner suggests an itinerary but does not reserve venues, transport or a wagon.
Can we bring children to these attractions?
Check each venue’s current age, access and supervision guidance. The local directory is for exploring the region, including visitors staying elsewhere. Seren and Juniper themselves each have one double bed and a maximum of two guests; they are not larger family accommodation.
What information is in the downloadable visitor directory?
The JSON and CSV contain seven selected places, their categories, area, regional scope, original editorial descriptions, ideas for visitors, weather notes, practical checks, official source URLs, source-review dates and local page links. They contain no live prices, opening hours, availability, coordinates or journey-time estimates. Photographs are not part of the dataset.
The outing is only part of it.
A good day out. A lovely place back.
Make yourself a little time. We’ll make you feel at home.
